LogReader - screenshots.
LogReader screenshots Following are the latest screenshots from LogReader v2.00.309. You can download a free 30-day trial of LogReader, and buy your license online ($99.95). Main window In the main window you can see what files make up the current compilation. The buttons are in the same order you would usually use the program: Add files to the list, Import the files to get the statistics, show the Report to get an overview, Analyse the log files further, and finally Export them.
Add files You can add your webserver log files to any compilation by clicking on the Add Files button in the main window and selecting the file(s). If the file has not been scanned in the current compilation, it is added to the list of files to be processed during the next Import.
Import When you click on the Import button, you are prompted for the file format before you import the files into the collection. Each file is processed, and the records are added. Once the import has completed, you can see the overall statistics by clicking on the Report button, or analyse the log entries further by clicking on the Analyse button.
Report The Report window shows you an overview of the current compilation (what has been imported). The number of entries is shown, along with the makeup of the imported log entries.
Analyse The Analyse window enables you to fully analyse the contents of the imported log files. In addition to reviewing the raw data you can sort, filter, or group related records. A Rule is a simple filter, and a Category is a collection of Rules.
Period In order to limit the filtered data, you can specify a period in which the data must fall to be included in the statistics. There are drop down lists for year, month, week and quarters, but you can also specify your own date range.
Categories A Category is a collection of Rules, which is used to filter data or group related data together. When you click on "Categories" in the Analyse window, the window below is shown. This allows you to define your collections of rules. When you click on "Rescan" in the Analyse window, all records are processed and marked if they are in one of the defined categories. You can then choose to only see those records by selecting the category in the drop-down list in the Analyse window.
Export You can export the raw, filtered or grouped data to a number of sources. We have included several text file templates for your convenience, but you are free to define your own output formats. See the examples for details.
Test File Generator In order to test LogReader and it's possibilities, we have included a log file generator. This enables you to generate a log file that resembles your situation, and to test out LogReader to see if it fits your needs. The logfile is generated in the desired output format and covering the selected period.
Options In the Tools - Options window you can change your preferences.
About The Help - About window shows the current version and license information. Once you register, you must enter your username and license key here to activate the license.
