CEO Statement: 2004 - 2011
Updated, May 2004
In the summer of 2004, our owner, CEO and primary developer Nicolai will move back to Denmark. Spinner.nl will continue to exist until the 3rd or 4th quarter of 2004, where a new danish company is expected to be operational. This company - Spinner Software DK - will then take over the activities of Spinner.nl. And everything returns to normal :).
Our shareware projects continue as now ; the copyright and ownership remains with Nicolai, while Spinner Software (DK and NL) continues to sell licenses.
As you may already know, the unlisted parties in Spinner.nl are friends and family, of which most are already located in Denmark. So this move will make it easier for the entire group to help. The remaining parties in Holland are still available to us, and Nicolai will be in Holland once a month for the forseeable future.
In the coming 7 years - 2004 to 2011 - I intend to stay in Denmark and focus on furthering my education, Spinner Software, and our shareware products. The goal remains the same: to make enough money to buy a little house, and continue to work freelance 4 days a week (in order to pay the bills - our shareware is not yet profitable).
I will work freelance for Siemens Nederland N.V. for the first 6 months, possibly longer. After Siemens can no longer use my services, I intend to work freelance for customers in Denmark. As I did in Holland, I will primarily use agents to find the projects.
There are a few more shareware projects in the pipeline, and a subscription service for our knowledgebase / technical library might help to improve the finances. This will be tested in the coming years.
The corporate ethics remain the same: do no harm, be nice, and be helpful.
